There are sports cars that impress with their performance. And then there are Ferraris that evoke so much more: emotions that last. The Ferrari 296 GTS undoubtedly belongs to this special category. It combines breathtaking performance with the joy of open-top driving and precisely that emotional fascination that makes a Ferrari something truly special.

With the 296 GTS, Ferrari has created a sports car that combines state-of-the-art technology with everything that defines a Ferrari: uncompromising performance, exceptional design and that very special feeling you get the moment you take your seat behind the wheel.

We, too, were initially somewhat sceptical about the new hybrid technology. But the 296 GTS proved us wrong. The combination of a V6 biturbo and an electric motor doesn’t feel like a compromise, but rather like a whole new dimension of Ferrari performance.

The Capristo sports exhaust system adds a particularly emotional touch to our car. With 250-cell sports catalytic converters, milled titanium tailpipes and a carbon fibre rear trim, the 296 GTS’s appearance has been given a further significant boost. The complete conversion costs over €17,000 and gives the Ferrari a distinctive, distinctly more motorsport-inspired sound. The original Ferrari exhaust system can, of course, be refitted on request!

Visually, this 296 GTS is finished in Nero DS. Jet black, elegant and yet incredibly striking. The sharply defined bodywork appears particularly sculptural in this colour, whilst the silver 20-inch alloy wheels, yellow brake callipers and Scuderia badges add deliberate sporty touches.

And then there’s what makes the GTS so special: the open-top driving experience. Roof down, the V6 behind you and the road ahead – the 296 GTS combines the dynamism of an uncompromising mid-engined sports car with the freedom of a true spider.

Inside, sporting flair meets Italian craftsmanship. The carbon racing seats provide perfect lateral support, whilst Alcantara, leather and the yellow accents create an extraordinary atmosphere. The carbon steering wheel with integrated LEDs adds to the racing feel in the cockpit.

Technical highlights such as the lift system, Advanced Front Camera, reversing camera, parking sensors, Apple CarPlay and wireless smartphone charging make the 296 GTS a sports car that can be enjoyed not only on the perfect mountain road, but also in everyday life.

Particularly exclusive. With an original list price of around €390,000 and optional extras worth over €50,000, this 296 GTS boasts an exceptionally high-specification.

Our verdict: A perfect, first-hand Ferrari 296 GTS, with just 6,500 km on the clock, recently serviced by Ferrari and covered by a Ferrari factory warranty until June 2027, it is in a condition that lives up to its exclusive status.
